I have for over 10 years successfully managed my private company, ATCPharma (Pty) Ltd and provided GMP training and consultation globally. I am the author of accredited training in all aspects of international Good Manufacturing Practices. I am the author of the Royal Society of Chemistry (RSC) accredited CPD course on “Validation – Demystified”. We are one of the most advanced suppliers of online GMP courses. These courses are all online and are ideal to keep staff updated on all aspects of GMP during lock-down periods. I am currently the Responsible Pharmacist at a Phytochemistry extract manufacturer in Cape Town. Before this I was contracted as Head of Quality Assurance at Medigrow in Lesotho. I was responsible for establishing their QMS. I am an experienced Qualification, Validation, Quality Assurance and Pharmaceutical Production expert with global experience in the setup, management and optimization of advanced manufacturing processes. I am currently also consulting for Biovac in Cape Town, a South African company that produces a large number of vaccines. I have successfully consulted for several CRO in the EU and also in China (e.g. Bio-Cancer Treatment International) and also in S. Korea. My focus was to prepare these CRO for the inevitable GMP requirements that they would be required to comply with in Phase 3 and beyond. Prior to these positions I was the Partner to the international GMP Consulting firm, NSF-DBA based in South Africa. I have worked in all areas of the pharmaceutical and bio-pharmaceutical industry, and have interacted successfully with people from diverse backgrounds and with a wide range of academic expertise. I was one-time Group Quality and Compliance Manager for the PEPFAR HIV/AIDS intervention known as Supply Chain Management System (SCMS). I have been the Senior Operations Executive for one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in South Africa. As the one-time Marketing Director for the Health Sciences Faculty at North-West University I had the fortune to be seconded to work in Washington DC and met and interacted with several high-profile US Congressional (e.g. Rep. Nita Lowey) and Senate leaders during the formation of the PEPFAR SCMS program. I am very fit and healthy and enjoy gym sessions (when we can do this again!) and long walks and hikes, also all forms of game fishing (pre-COVID-19).
