I am a self-driven worker with a passion for the financial markets and the investment field. At this point in time I have completed my Bcom Investment Management, and Bcom Hons Investment Management degrees. I am also currently working toward the CFA certification. In terms of my experience I have performed many valuation projects within the academic environment and in my own time. In my honours year I also led the University of Pretoria CFA challenge team and we managed to make it to the top four teams with our valuations. I have also worked in a client service centre which has allowed to learn how best to communicate information with different parties. Be it speaking in intricate detail for colleagues or in simple terms for clients who are interested in the information. Currently my goals are to get into the investment world, with my preferred job being in an analyst role. In terms of my long-term goals I would like to look toward becoming a portfolio manager, but I am flexible to the opportunities that present themselves. More personally I am a highly motivated person, with a natural curiosity to understand why things are the way they appear. I am a strong team player, but I am also able to work on my own for extended periods when required. I also have an open mind to learn from those around me as well as from experience.
