I matriculated in 1998 from Princeton High school, Mitchells Plain in the Western Cape. I started my university career at the University of the Western Cape in 1999. In 2003 I completed my LLB degree in 2003 with honors. I am an admitted attorney of the Cape Law Society I have 9 years of’ experience as a claims handler working at the Road Accident fund. My dut8ies entitled validating valid claim therefore ensuring substantial compliance were meet. Estimating the value of the claim and determining the merits of each individual claim and the quantum. I also appointed experts and prepared settlement proposal and settled claims with plaintiff attorneys. During my time as senior claims officer my duties entailed supervising the team, approving claims under R 350 000.00, approval of experts and advocates. Ensuring that departmental deadlines were meet report external stakeholders failures to meet the service level agreement and to ensure the company adheres to the service level agreement. Discipline staff member when required and ensure that the departmental target were meet by the individual team members. I meet and discussed performs plan with claims officers into place when a team members were struggling to meet their individual target. I am resourceful and am able to find solution to problems or improve the work place when required. I was employed as Junior Investigating Officer at the Western Cape Police Ombudman investigating service delivery complaint against members of the South African Police Services. My duties entailed consulting with complainants, interviewing SAPS members, requesting documents and preparing an investigation reports. I have successfully completed a post graduate diploma in labour law at the University of the Western Cape. I have a good understanding and implementation of the labour Relations Act, Employment Equity act and Skills Development Act. I have good understanding of condonation the CCMA rules and procedures. I also understand that each organization has its own disciplinary rules and procedures and am able to implement the policies as well as providing advices as how to deal with workplace disputes and how to improve workplace issues. I have good interviewing skills both verbal and written. I have good negations skills with various stakeholders. I have a good understanding of interrogations and how to conduct investigations into complaint lodged against state organizations and other public entities.
