Hi, I’m Bontle Mlambo — an economist-in-training, entrepreneur, and lifelong learner driven by purpose and impact. My journey began at Springs Girls High School, where my love for economics was sparked by an inspiring teacher who made the subject come alive. Since then, I’ve pursued this passion academically, completing my BCom in Economics at UNISA and currently advancing my studies through an MCom in Economics, with a research focus on the implications of a BRICS common digital currency. I’m also the founder and CEO of Saint Amari Group, a 100% Black female-owned business I started in 2021. What began as a cruelty-free cosmetics brand has evolved into a diversified company that now also manufactures construction products like glazing putty. The name “Saint Amari” honors my daughter and reflects the values I hold dear: resilience, purpose, and legacy. My interests don’t end there. I’ve studied data science at ALX Africa and explored how digital tools and AI can empower small businesses through the Johannesburg Business School’s Innovation program. I also have a growing passion for diplomacy and am currently learning Mandarin as part of my long-term goal to work on the global economic stage. Whether I’m mentoring students, building businesses, or working on econometric models, I’m guided by a simple belief: we rise by lifting others—and that growth in business, economics, or life must always be inclusive, ethical, and transformative.
