I hold a bachelor of technology (B-Tech) degree in chemical engineering from the University of Johannesburg completed with an average of 79 % and currently completing my postgraduate diploma (honors) in chemical process engineering at the University of the Witwatersrand. I also attended training such as hazard identification and risk assessment, legal liability for sub-ordinate managers 2.6.1, legal liability for supervisors 2.9.2, first aid and English proficiency courses. I worked in the capacity of a Junior Process Engineer at Tulprochem Innovative Engineering Solutions which is a consulting company based in Rustenburg offering services as a contractor for Anglo American Rustenburg Base Metal Refiners (RBMR). As a process engineer, I was involved in the process design, hazard and operability studies (HAZOP), process hazard studies, mass and energy balance, process flow diagram (PFD), piping and instrumentation diagram (P&ID) development, desktop studies and process control philosophy development. As a project process engineer, supervisor and site manager, I was responsible for supervising site works like commissioning, demolition & installation. My duties were to develop project plans and schedules, manage external contractors, coordinate project activities, review plans and schedule, participate in safety meeting and write technical report. I also worked in production as Brewing Operator Trainee at the South African Breweries (SAB) Rosslyn in Pretoria where I was responsible for linking fermentation of beer with maturation via racking process. The duty involved process start up, monitoring and shut down, trouble shooting, problem solving, chemical analysis and a design project. I believe that I am equipped to work as a Chemical Process Engineer and I am willing to strive to be able to participate in adding value, develop and acquire new skill.
