I am a seasoned planner with more than 10+ years’ experience in an analytical role planning across multiple categories. I have demonstrated consistent success particularly in the areas of aged stock, core replenishment and setting up new processes and reporting tools. I have played a key part in setting up new weekly reporting tools for zando.co.za as well as challenging and reviewing their markdown processes. I managed their private label apparel, footwear and accessories portfolio and worked closely with suppliers as well. Due to the nature of the business, managing and reporting on returns, formed part of my key metrics. I was responsible for managing stock and sales on core replenishment CD's for Musica within the Clicks Group. I creatively reduced stock levels through returns to suppliers and promotions and markdowns. Even with the advent of digital downloads, I still managed to achieve a single digit sales growth with reduced stock levels within the replenishment CD category and increasing their inventory health significantly. I project managed Dunn’s new footwear and accessories range with suppliers in conjunction with detailed analysis and range selection. I built new reports and streamlined planning processes. Their store profiling and allocation processes were also redone by myself. I increased stock health as well through detailed size ratio analysis. This was all done working remotely. And most recently at Homechoice, I was responsible for two of the poorest performing portfolios when I started. Within the first six months I was able to reduce aged stock by 55% through effective promotion and markdown management. Gmroi increased by almost 100% by end of the 2017 financial year. Sales increased to single digit growth from double negative growth the previous year. And forward cover was significantly reduced as well. Also through tough negotiations with import suppliers, I managed to reduce high minimum order quantities and once off shipments on core replenishment lines to only what was needed in monthly shipments without losing sales and reducing stock cover drastically and improving profitability.
