I am a seasoned logistics and supply chain specialist with over 30 years experienced gained in various aspects of shipping imports and exports. I have vast experience within the Supply Chain environment, dealing with imports/exports; cross border trade; transport; incoterms; customs & excise; setting up and managing various types of warehouse, distribution and bonded facilities; setting up and managing various types of regulatory stores (i.e. Perishable Stores, Food Stores, Refrigeration, FMCG, Foodstuffs, Chocolates, Wines etc.). I have also been extensively involved in demand planning, warehousing transport planning and distribution. I have consulted/contracted for a Zimbabwe company putting the final touches to their supply chain into Africa - countries such as Malawi, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Botswana, Namibia, Mozambique, Ghana, etc. I also established their bond stores and set up all regulatory and statutory requirements and processes. My most recent with position with Edcon Ltd., involved transport logistics and warehousing management for both RSA and BLNE. Whilst my expertise lie in the FMCG field of product movement, I am convinced the requirement for extensive experience in the supply chain (import/export) arena outweighs the need for extensive product knowledge. I believe that I have a lot more to give to an industry I thoroughly enjoy and love – I similarly can contribute to future generations making the logistics environment their career.
