A Linux Specialist/Engineer with extensive knowledge on the following: - Planning, designing, provisioning and maintanance of Linux systems: (Redhat, Centos, Fedora and Ubunt). - Virtualization environments: RHEV, vSphere and KVM. - Automation: provisioning and configuration management using Ansible. - Automated deployments of linux systems using kickstart. - Strong networking knowledge. - Databases: clustering, administration, replication and performance tuning. - HA clustering of services and resources using pacemaker. - FreeIPA: user, group, host and service management. - Extensive knowledge of apache, squid, ssl, nginx, glassfish, bind/named,nfs, samba, radius, haproxy and postfix. - Centralized logging: syslog, syslog-ng and rsyslog. - Firewall design and implementation using firewalld and iptables - Technical documentation of system and administration tasks. - Assess, identify and mitigate potential risks within the IT systems. - Incident, Problem, Change and Patch Management. - Monitoring: nagios and adventnet - installation, configuration and alerting. - Maintenance of risk register and vulnerabilities, and if there any issues, resolve them. - Storage: GFS2, iSCSI and SAN. - Scripting: Bash/Shell
