I graduated at Cape Peninsula University of Technology with a Baccalaureus Technologiae (BTECH) in Transport Engineering in May 2015. I have won an STDC (Southern Transportation Centre of Development) award for the Best Transport Related Project at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in May 2015 and recently Most Transversal Team in the Transport Directorate 2019 award, which I am part of, consisting of 6 team members. My past experience qualifies me to be involved with the development of future sites through planning, designing, supervising and mapping the construction of new roads and public transport operations management. Within my past role at the City of Cape Town, I facilitated and implemented public transport infrastructure projects which included planning, designing, implementing and monitoring projects with experience in project management, contract management, procurement and line management. I have developed my communication skills whilst liaising with key stakeholders, customers and colleagues and feel that this is very important when ensuring that the transport section runs smoothly through the accurate planning that I have done. I am a conscientious person who works hard and pays attention to detail. I’m flexible, quick to pick up new skills and eager to learn from others. During my career, I’ve been part of great projects, worked with excellent engineers, having tight deadlines, and pressure to deliver financially, building strong work relationships and working with diverse individuals across different departments.
