About Hlengiwe Brenda

am competent, highly organised and confident individual with an enthusiastic and proactive approach to work. My role was to make my Manager's office run smoothly and to handle day to day tasks while he managed/ executed other important projects in the office. I have developed excellent management and interpersonal skills for a period of 8 years while working in a busy conservation/ legal environment. I have an aptitude to communicate with people at all levels and am very flexible in my skill set. I am passionate about my career and take great pride in my work. As you can see from my attached CV, I have eight years of experience in the administrative/ secretarial/ reception environment. I believe I do meet the minimum requirements as I possess a National Diploma ( NQF 6)/ driver's licence and relevant experience which is essential. IAll the skill set which I have acquired over the years fully support my statement as a competent and an efficient PA who is more than capable to deliver exceptional service. I’m ready for a new challenge in the new sector. I saw this position as the perfect role to help me grow as an individual and also to learn new skill set from a new sector. I see myself growing and climbing a corporate ladder in this industry as I can see a lot of growth and also adding a lot of value. I’m particularly interested in working with people because of my passion for organising and managing the office and being a team player, something I’ve had extensive experience from my previous employer. Further, I feel that I have achieved all that I can from my previous employer. Throughout my previous role, I learnt to work smart and to prioritise different tasks ( multitasking) which taught me a lot about managing the time effectively. Discreet and confidentiality in my opinion is a pre-requisite as it helps to build a healthy working relationship and trust in the workplace. Great communication skills both verbal and written are imperative. Not exposing other collegues' weaknesses is a sign of maturity and a high level of professionalism and it protects the image of the office and the entire organisation. Being emotionally intelligent is another skill which comes with a lot of work experience. Diary management is a day to day task which requires a good listening skill and an assertive attitude to aviod meetings clashes. I have learnt a great deal from my previous employer and also from my three different Managers. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look forward to meeting with you to discuss my application further.
