I have always been ambitious, hard working and confident, these three characteristics I believe enabled me to achieve my degree in Medical Bioscience and will motivate me to achieve more and do more. In a corporate environment I display passion towards driving innovation, offering solutions and contribute to improving the lives of others within underwriting as my role as an underwriting intern. I can work independently as well offer support and contribute towards success within a team by easily adapting myself to the situation at hand, even under immense pressure. My degree, Medical Bioscience, has allowed me to explore and fall for a career that indirectly assists me in my daily tasks but fundamentally enables me to seamlessly integrate into a corporate environment by the skills I acquired within my studies. As mentioned I am currently an underwriting intern at Swiss Re involved in case underwriting, industry development projects and research tasks to enhance the underwriting industry in South Africa, Middle East and Eastern African Markets. Along with my me being an intern at Swiss Re I am privileged enough to be enrolled in an underwriting course (ARTG with Swiss Re support) which will broaden my knowledge within the underwriting space and better equip me as an underwriter with the hopes of it allowing more access to opportunities within the insurance sector and me offering a valuable input to make the industry more resilient. When I am off from work, I am a wife and mother who is passionate about life and giving back to the community. I am involved in numerous outreach projects that benefits the less fortunate, I believe these interactions has maintained my humility and contributed greatly to the emotional resilience I demonstrate.
