Currently, I am currently employed as the Geospatial Business Development Manager for Africa at OPTRON. This role involves the development of new business opportunities by identifying and resolving problems in government, engineering, mining, construction and agriculture sectors; using hardware and software solutions. I am also responsible for constant technological advancements, by researching new technology and developing these offerings into the correct market channels. In addition to technical business development, I am responsible for direct B2B sales with a defined target set for each year. With my colleagues we are expected to grow our business every year, which currently contributes more than 50% of our companies Geospatial sales target. In this role I am expected to deal directly with high level clients ranging from Ministers, Chief Directors and directors and managers of various industries.
