my 17 years of working for Interfile and Ionize Technology, I have gained a great insight and interest in the day to day functioning of a business through the departments that I have interacted with e.g. Projects, Finance, and Development. My knowledge in business has grown over the past years. My experience in working for organisations that are linked to the financial industry, from Ernest and Young, to Liberty and now an IT company under the SARS project have been a big contributor to all I have gained. At this stage in my career, I wish to extend my wings beyond Service Delivery and know that this has to be done through education hence currently studying a BA Communication Degree with UNISA. I have the attitude of “if you are going to do it, then do it right”. In the past I was not able to complete my tertiary education due to personal circumstances that prohibited me. I however did not allow that to deter me from my efforts to grow in my career. Having started in the Call Centre I have continued to be dedicated, working with diligence and pride. My commitment, patience and passion to learn lead to my current position as Account Manager at Interfile. The skills I have acquired in my post of 7 years as a National Support Consultant Manager have sharpened my management skills and linked me to professionals whom I have learned a great deal from. I have become a logical thinker and very analytical individual in my field and now wish to extend these skills to other avenues. I wish to be part of the professionals who are engines in our South African economy and beyond our borders. That will help me get to closer to my level of self actualisation as I know I still have much more to give.
