I am a technical author/editor with more than 37 years of experience in the writing and production of a variety of document types for the scientific, engineering, and technical disciplines. Document types include amongst others, policies, procedures, guides, manuals, reports, post-graduate theses and dissertations, and marketing brochures. I am also a qualified draughtsman and often also do the necessary illustrations for the documents I write. I am an expert user of Microsoft Office and CorelDraw. I have a keen eye for detail and am highly trainable and adaptable to various environments. I am flexible in terms of geographic location, and I am able to relocate on short notice. Personal interests include reading, especially on the subjects of nature and science. Being young at heart, I am an avid sportsman and active cyclist, and love to watch rugby, cricket, tennis, and motorsport. Having spent several years at a nuclear facility where its exacting standards and requirements instilled an appreciation of quality requirements, order, and organisation has stood me in good stead during my intervals as office manager and supervisor. This has nevertheless not diminished my ability as a free thinker to challenge the establishment.
