Hansie van der Walt has 39 years experience in all aspects of civil engineering. During my career I was working for Consulting Engineer’s for 13 years, for local authorities 18 years and for contractors 8 years. With the consulting engineer’s I have been on design of roads, stormwater and services for 3 years and the remainder 10 years as supervisory engineer on construction and rehabilitation projects including major urban streets, freeways, rural roads, bulk earthworks, service and water main pipes. With the Local Authorities I was involved in the design and construction of all types of municipal service projects. During my career with the contractors I was in a managerial capacity on the construction and rehabilitation of several large road projects. I was working for a company who specialize in seals and road surfacing. My experience in this field are quite strong and the ability to trouble shoot good. I, Mr van der Walt has a wide range of experience in project management, civil engineering projects and rehabilitation projects which including interfaces with related services and utilities. The involved task of co-ordinating and arranging all the various disciplines, authorities and facilities has been handled smoothly and efficiently and has contributed in no small way to ensuring delivery of well constructed facilities on time and within budget. Building of my Engineering background I has developed an outstanding ability to manage and co-ordinate a variety of role players in order to meet the required outcome. In addition, my grasp of economic principals and financial management makes myself ideally suited in acting as a project manager on engineering projects. In addition, I has the ability to operate away from the office on my own, taking full responsibility and control on projects.
