Karen’s 6+ years marketing & communications experience ranges from strategy development, brand, corporate and digital communications to event management. She understands the value of return on investment through her corporate experience and applies that knowledge in the marketing and communications domain. Karen has 7 years’ experience in the public as well as corporate sector as a management consultant at PwC and an independent business consultant. During her consulting years, she specialised in business process reengineering and design in different solution areas, from procurement and human resources to land reform. Her focus areas in Human Resource Management Consulting included, amongst others, organisational design and development, performance management (Balanced Scorecard), development and training of orientation and induction material and role design. Her 6+ years’ experience as GM: Corporate Services at the National Bargaining Council for the Road Freight and Logistics Industry, a non-profit labour services organization and 3 years at Vogue HR Services, an HR Consulting firm, honed her skills in HR operations management and Communications and Marketing. Karen obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Psychology and Industrial Sociology, a Higher Diploma in Development Planning and a Certificate in Economics.
