With over a decade of expertise in hospitality and tourism management and the international guest services industry, Leander van Nelson is a trained coach and a leader in the field of client relations and people management. A passionate people’s person, Leander is a natural leader and mentor with an eye for detail and a commitment to encourage and lead through exemplary service to others. She holds a Diploma Coaching as well as an MBA Sales from The Success Institute (RSA) and MBA Leadership from Florida International University (USA). From 2006 to 2016, Leander faithfully served as part of the on board Division Head of the guest services management team for Royal Caribbean International in the capacity of Guest Services Manager. This afforded her the opportunity to harness key skills in training and development, people management and the ability to lead and serve within a diverse multicultural team. Her areas of expertise further include management and leadership,recruiting, business planning and crises and team care management of both guests and crew. With extensive international work experience and a passion for travel and diversity, Leander offers a well-rounded, global perspective as coach and mentor. She inspires through her personal commitment to serve and assist others in transforming negative mind-sets into positive behaviours. She is also the founder of LVN Coach and NLP Practitioner August 2018.Leander also finds passion in volunteering her private time to high school teens in the less fortunate areas of the Cape Flats with inspirational keynotes and works closely with the PUSH (Persevere Until Something Happens) NGO, Opportunity Foundation NGO and SVN Foundation South Africa inspiring breast cancer survivors.
