I am passionate about helping development teams build and deliver quality software. To that end, my goal is to ensure teams have clear goals and the gap between development and business is made seamless through communication. I am currently involved with doing a POC for a Digital Center of Excellence the TechXit initiative being championed by Simodisa and other organizations. The main aim is to help develop South African youth by providing them with meaningful digital skills based on the demand in the market. Some of my recent experience is in leading a team that was responsible for USSD banking for some of the top banks in Nigeria. Some achievements also include having one of our Nigerian banking clients win an innovation award as a direct result of USSD banking menus designed and developed by my team. Through my leadership of 3 development teams located between Cape Town and India at ACI, I helped turnaround poor performing and demotivated teams into teams that were able to deliver payment gateway mandates on time while also managing roadmap projects. My latest experience was in managing development teams between Cape Town, Kiev and the US. My experience is with both corporate and start-up environments in Telecoms and FinTech companies, allowing me to add value at all levels.
