Dear Sir / Madam I am married and we live on a small holding on the outskirts of Port Elizabeth in Theescombe. I am a very organised person, not difficult to work with and loyal to the companies I worked for. I believe that even though I am only an employee, whatever the company requires from me, is for the good of the company and will assist in keeping the company going forward in the current financial situation. In the end I could benefit from this. Even though I already have 30 years experience, especially in the legal field, there has come a time for me to enjoy life. Both my husband and I have reached 50 and it is time to look at the future and our way of life. Most of the time I worked 24/7 and this not only drained me, but my family life suffered as a result. Although we both still have a couple of years to work, I feel that I gave my everything to working long hours and over weekends. I do not want to be one of the statistics that worked myself to death and when I retire one day I am not able and capable to enjoy life anymore. My parents are unfortunately part of these statistics and I think this has opened my eyes. I took a leap of faith in deciding to walk away from a stable job and looking for something else which will suite the idea I have in mind. I am looking for an administrative or secretarial, or even financial, job where one is able to perform tasks within your allocated office hours, whilst still working hard. I am aware that from time to time it might be necessary to put in some extra time to deal with a crisis, but that this is not the norm. Although most of my experience has been in the legal field, I can promise you that I am capable to perform the duties of any senior secretary or administration person, even a credit controller or office manager. In the legal field we do not only deal with legal documents and timelines, etc, we also deal with the normal office administration and secretarial duties. Even though I did not finish my B.Comm Accounting studies, I still have a passion for figures and excelled in my previous employment with creating invoices and recovering the money, etc. We also had to capture detailed items on each file on the accounting program, issue invoices, following up on aged analysis. I had a good working relationship with my clients and as a result had no problem in fulfilling the duty of collecting the outstanding invoices and/or resolving issues relating to invoices. Some of my colleagues whom worked or the company for much longer, but did not have an accounting background, used to ask for my assistance. Photography is one of my hobbies and never had time for it. I am currently fulfilling part of my dream by doing a proper photography course, which I enjoy very much. Unfortunately I am not at the level to make this my full time job. Maybe in a couple of years I might be able to earn an income from it, but at present it is just a hobby, which I enjoy very much. Please find enclosed my CV with the necessary attachments.
