I am a Permanent Resident of South Africa with vast national and international experience as a Hotel General Manager/Director within both branded and independent establishments, from overseeing project development and pre-opening preparations of recruiting, training and implementing of systems to operational management and supervision of all departments. Whilst ensuring an excellent guest experience and delivering P& L’s to the full satisfaction of the Board of Directors, this also includes all matters relating to:- Health and Safety, Fire Regulations, Sales and Marketing and use of Online Travel Agents, Staff recruiting training and retention, maintaining positive relationships with the local authorities and ensuring compliance, setting and maintaining of budgets, reviewing daily and weekly rotas in line with business needs, maximising occupancy and Average Room Rates, ensuring Gross Profits in Food and Beverage are maintained, EPOS, Operating of payroll systems, Stock and Ordering control, driving and leading in Conference and Banqueting events particularly weddings, supervising and overseeing of maintenance, refurbishments and property development projects etc. etc. I also hold various certification and training diplomas relating to the industry such as being a First Aider, Cellar Management, Pool Plant Operations, Control of Substances Hazardous to Health, Health & Safety, Food Hygiene, Terrorism Awareness, Fire Marshall Training, Use of Fire Extinguishers etc. etc. I am also trained on various Property Management Systems (Rezlynx, Welcome 21, Fidelio etc.). I am available from June to take up a position, preferably in the Western Cape area, although I would consider relocating within South Africa.
