I am currently doing my honours in Finance part-time, with great hopes that 2021 will be the beginning of my learning experience towards being a great corporate member, not only as an employee but also a future employer. I have also recently started my ‘everything food’ business; Valerie's Delights, which operates in Pretoria east. We mainly bake at the moment with plans to also have a catering department in the near future. I have been a sale consultant of an amazing food and beverage company called the Muffineers, it has been a wonderful experience. My job was to assist customers in making orders, including giving them advise on which product would be within their budget without taking anything away from what they are requesting and ensuring that they receive their orders in time. At the same time ensuring that our kitchen stuff works effectively and efficiently so as to deliver on time. With this experience I bring to your company adequate communication skills, people skills and great time management skills, contributing to the company’s vision and mission. I have had the opportunity to also work at McDonald’s as a crew member where I had to work with a group of people on a daily basis. I am definitely a team player and willing to go the extra mile to get work done effectively and efficiently. I was also given the opportunity to work as a cashier during this time of which I learnt how to handle money, and also during cash-in time I would observe the manager’s work as he/she checked on the system for the amount I am to cash-in for the day. With that being said, I am bringing to your company not just a degree on paper, but rather a whole lot of experience, not particularly in the field of accounting but does include financial skills I have developed in the past four years through my studies, personal and corporate experience. I have both individual and business taxation knowledge of which I would bring to life and grow it to wisdom to the benefit of your company while I of course gain personal growth. Furthermore I am a member of the Golden Key International Honour Society which prides itself with its 3 pillars of Academics, Leadership and Service and of which as a member I embrace and pursue. I am a mind full of innovative ideas and strategies on how to better the corporate world within South Africa. I’m a hard worker, but what sets me apart is that I am willing and open to give change a chance, I am willing to develop skills and give input needed to pursue, to better and make greater the opportunity given.
