My name is Oscar Cloete and I am 28 years of age. I was born in Cape Town on the 26th June 1991. I completed matriculated in 2008 from Bosmansdam High School in Bothasig. I then went on to do a Bachelor’s degree at the University of Witwatersrand in Johannesburg. I started my degree in 2009 and graduated with a major in International Relations and Politics on the 25th of March 2013. On completion of my degree I went on to do an internship in Athens Greece at an international Labour Federation called the World Federation of Trade Unions. My role was to represent the organisation at various demonstrations as well as conferences in other countries (Ecuador, Burundi etc.) I am currently employed as Marketing Coordinator at a private Higher education institution called Cornerstone Institute based in Salt River, Cape Town. I am currently doing Post Graduate studies at the University of the Western Cape in Business administration (Marketing). I have always wanted to do a BCOM degree and I feel that now that I am in a Marketing environment, it is the perfect qualification for the direction I would like to take. I believe I am mature enough to take up Post Graduate studies at this stage in my life, and that my previous experiences have equipped me with necessary tools and skills to be able to make a success of this new journey.
