I have recently completed my LLB and I am confident that my experience and personal attributes make me a suitable candidate for this position. My exposure within the legal field allowed me to experience things like client consultations, giving presentations to clients, and communicating with clients. I did drafting of letters, had to learn how to keeping record of the hours I worked on a task. My interest in going into practice has been stimulated by my strongest skill which is researching. This helped me a lot during my legal experience, so much so that some of the research I worked on went on to get published. My dedication to the said paper allowed me to be earn opportunities to experience other departments like Insurance where I got to experience a Medical Malpractice hearing conducted by HPCSA, Mergers & Acquisitions where I got to attend a meeting and Labour Law where I learnt delivering documents to court and the importance of having good relations with court staff. My non-legal work exposure enhanced interpersonal skills especially while working within the sales department, often as a trainee I would be expected to deal with walk-in clients on the showroom and be expected to know the product as well as the sales people. My flexibility would be on display throughout the year, the sales department required one to be good with clients and have solid knowledge of the product while the finance department required one to work in a much more structured environment and have the ability to liaise between the different departments and other dealerships. As a result of this experience I value teamwork and the need to cultivate strong relations with colleagues as well as clients.
