My plays have won several awards and have been produced at the Nelson Mandela Arts Centre, the National Arts Festival in Makhanda and, the Hilton Arts Festival in Natal. Being a writer helps me to understand the language and to be able to communicate the essentials in a clear and exhilarating way. I have translated plays from English to Afrikaans and vice versa. I am currently learning German to assist me with offering Tours to our German visitors. I am a Registered South African National Tourist Guide, with the ability to research and tell different stories in an interesting way. I own Jikeleza Lodge Backpackers in Port Elizabeth with my wife and we love to travel. I also enjoy writing short stories and poetry, and these can be found on my blog scribelou. I have worked as a radio presenter, salesman, and have done voiceover work. I do my own marketing and copywriting for my campaigns and I know that we can sit down and find the right way to say what you have to say. Currently copywriting for Captain Words where we cover a whole range of subjects.
