I am an accomplished Software Design and System Management Leader and Consultant with extensive experience and expertise in driving cutting edge technology solutions including the conceptual modelling of national database systems. I have broad experience in the design of systems and architecting and developing solutions in the financial, regulatory and government sectors and have gained significant understanding of the impact of change and of working with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle to ensure that business outcomes are met. For the past 10 years I have been managing IT aspects of elections ranging from voter registration, candidate and results management, electronic and biometric voter registration. I have worked in 11 countries in Africa, Middle East, North Africa (MENA) and Northern America. I have helped organisations achieve significant strategic objectives that have led to significant successful deliveries working on the end-to-end lifecycle for diverse projects. In Iraq, I operated in an advisory capacity, looking at electronic voter registration and electronic voting. As Technology Advisor for IFES, I was responsible for workshops and monitoring of the program. During the assignment in Zambia, I was a member of the technical subcommittees for the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) and the Nation ID Card project, and regularly attended the Steering Committees for the same. My role at ECZ was both technical and advisory. Once policy decisions on IT matters had been made, my role was to plot the way forward so as realize these decisions in an efficient way.
