RE: Application for Lecturing position I am an Economics Masters student (1-year masters), who has completed his B Com (Law) and honors in economics. I have held many positions at my previous institution, such as being a tutor, marker, data capture and assistant, as well as, excelling, to the best of my ability, at my academics. My area of interest is in financial economics. However, this is not limited, as I can adapt in any area of economics. I want to receive this opportunity as I have a massive passion, drive and persistence for economics. This passion is shown by the choice I had made to complete my honors in economics degree instead of taking the obvious route to complete a law degree. Furthermore, it will help me achieve my long-term goal. By furthering and supporting my education in economics, I can work towards my career goal of becoming a lecturer. I aim to make a difference in the academic world, and this scholarship will be the difference-maker when it comes to affording the education I need to do that. I am a dedicated and hardworking individual. I organize my tasks to do them in the most efficient way possible. I operate well under pressure and I can maintain a calm state of mind when confronted with difficulty. I have excellent communication skills and this can be attributed to my ability to speak multiple languages. Values are central in determining the quality of an individual. My values are integrity, diligence and good work ethic. The only way to ensure that justice is fairly administered is to ensure that integrity is always maintained within every aspect one’s daily life. I hope that by maintaining my values, I may achieve significant change and aid in the development of other individuals as well. I want to thank you for taking your time in reading this.
