I am a skilled researcher enthusiastic about supporting advancements in medicinal plant research with experience in experimental research and data analysis. While being a detail-oriented and methodical professional successful in developing in-depth research projects, I am also a reliable team player with adequate communication and problem-solving skills. Passionate about increasing knowledge to drive growth and needed improvements. I am qualified to apply knowledge gained from 6 years of experience in research and educating undergraduate students within the cellular biology fields (Demonstrating, TA positions). Hands on experience with undergraduate students, in terms of student evaluations, demonstrating and engagement, has provided me with valuable skills for the future. In 2019 and 2020, I was fortunate enough to be nominated for the PhD Teacher Training Programme which formed part of the UCDP PhD Capacity and Talent Development Project. This programme allowed me to gather skills in teaching and learning situations. Emphasis was placed on lecture delivery, classroom management, teaching strategies, online and blended learning systems. In addition, assessment and key technological enhancements allowing for the optimum learning was explored. I have graduated with an MSc Summa Cum Laude (90%) which was awarded an outstanding commendation and upgraded to a Ph.D., which has now been completed. I have specialized in a range of techniques involving microscopy, phytochemistry, nanoparticle synthesis and evaluation of the biological activity (antibacterial, anticancer, antioxidant, apoptosis, etc.) of selected medicinal plant species. I am highly interested in utilizing my skill set to assist In drug development systems and I anticipate working together in achieving the values and goals set by your company.
