I am currently a Rhodes University graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology and Biochemistry. I was recently hired as a food safety officer for Bull and Bush which is meat merchant's company. As a quality Controller I had so many duties to do in ensuring that the quality of the food/meat Is not harmful to the customer's health and the meat meets specification standards set. During the duration of my employment there, Ihave put into practice such as punctuality, adaptability, communication skills Microsoft office skills as I had to record feedback and non conformance and had to communicate with the Quality Assurance manager who was implementing HACCP and had set and put into place checklists to ensure that the Food Saftey Management System set in place is Effective. I was introduced to a couple of people who I had to work with, to successfully achieve the desired goal being a good listener and having good communication skills was essential and made the work easier.
