I am a graduate from the University of Pretoria, I did my undergraduate in Bcom Economics and partially completed honours in Bcom (Hons) statistics. I am an ambitious, reliable, hardworking and committed individual; I am able to grasp concepts fast and very accurate in execution. Having worked for an asset management company enhanced my knowledge in investment products, service quality skills and ability to work efficiently within a team. I am a team player yet independent minded individual. I can work well under pressure and pride myself in meeting targets. I was an intern at the department of trade and industry (the dti) under the division; trade and Investment South Africa-Investment Promotions. This unit is responsible for attracting foreign direct investment as well as developing and promoting local direct investment. This is achieved via the identification, packaging and marketing of potential investment opportunities and identification of potential investors. The unit facilitates investment in South Africa, providing general information on the investment and domestic climate, and offer dedicated aftercare services to investors. The unit organizes in/outward trade mission, and facilitates funding and government for trade and investment related activities. After my internship with the department of trade and industry, I was employed by Allan Gray as a consultant in the retail operations department. I was responsible for ensuring that all incoming work is seen to, that any pending work is followed up on to ensure that the case is finalized and to maintain contact with IFAs or clients during the process, this is in line with asset management. The role equipped me with people skills because I had to interact with clients and build relations. Working in a high pressured area allowed me to be adaptable to different work settings, it is easy to adjust as necessary and put in extra hours if needs be. I bring forth a vast of experience and different dynamics. I am comfortable in being placed anywhere within the company that requires my degree and work experience, the aim is to learn as much as possible and adjust the experience and education I have to better the company.
