Stephane Wa kalonji is a highly ambitious individual with a wealth of experience in the Internal auditing and accounting fields, having a collective work experience of 6 years in both fields. Stephane has worked in the Financial services, Micro lending, insurance, Fintech (Financial innovation using technology) industries and is now currently working as an Auditor in an Internal Audit advisory firm. The core objective of his role at GRIPP advisory is to provide a high quality of assurance to clients regarding the functioning of their business units and the adequacy thereof, in the form of risk based and compliance audits. He currently performs audits with the Casino/Galaxy bingo gaming, hotel and media Industries. Stephane also provides critical support to senior and management staff through drafting and updating of working papers, reviewing work completed by junior staff members and drafting of compliance reports at the conclusion of an audits Stephane is a well-rounded individual and most certainly a very social and intellectually curious individual with the ability to solve problems and apply critical thinking skills in all situations. Stephane Is also the founder of a small consulting business named Waka Works. The aim of Waka Works is to provide start-up and small to medium enterprises with essential services such as accounting and businesses advisory services which assists these business to grow and maintain their business. Stephane has the objective of completing his CIA (Certified Internal Auditor) designation within the next two years and would like to add to that by obtaining an MBA qualification within coming years. Ultimately Stephane has a strong desire to use all the above experience and skills to build and developed sustainable businesses which will contribute to the struggling economy and improve the employment figures across South Africa.
