My official commencement of occupation began at the Land Bank in 2007-2008, being taken in as an AES (Agricultural Economist Specialist) Intern; working in the various departments as well as extensive exposure in the AES, Sales and Marketing Management Consultant and the Recoveries divisions. Thereafter I was highly fortunate to be employed by a leading global affiliated Media Agency: Mediacom, starting my work as a Trainee Econometrician in 2010 and was therefore appointed as a Media Buyer within the same year being able to buy on various media platforms, including radio, print, internet or digital and outdoor; using the programmes or applications such as Telmar, Ad Dynamix and Navision [handling multiple projects: MTN, EPL (Africa), Dell (SA & Africa)]. From Jan 2011 up to July 2015, I have been employed under a private medical firm called Assurance Medical Consulting. My position deals with being a Digital or Marketing Assistant or Administrator and a Medical Data Capturer [administration of medical narrative tests – RAF 4 (Road Accident Fund), liaison marketing to lawyers, setting up of a digital website etc.]. During Assurance Medical Consulting, I also took on contractual work such as working in SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) at Stargaze Media which further contributed to enriching my experience in Digital, Marketing and Media, as well as taking on a Marketing Assistant role entailing all roles and responsibilities a Marketing Assistant should fulfill at Power FM. To be more entrenched within the Marketing sphere, I took on a Marketing Co-Ordinator role at Unitrade Management Services (UMS) dealing with the coordination between Communications, Promotions, Marketing and Event Coordination. A CRM position which is explained under the ‘detailed career overview’. Executed temp maternity work with Herbalife SA from January 2018 until July 2018 as a Marketing Coordinator. Contractual work completed at Wits Business School as a Marketing Officer. Work executed at Sage as a Marketing Campaign Manager – Medium Segment, Field Marketing. In addition to the practical experience gained whilst working in the above sectors, I studied at the University of Pretoria; majoring in Bcom Agribusiness Management AKA Agri-Economics (courses such as: Econometrics, Statistics, Accounting, Economics, Agri-Economics, Business Management, Marketing etc). Have obtained the highest accreditation in the Professional Diploma in Digital Marketing (SEO, PPC, Digital, Web / Google Analytics etc) from the internationally recognised institute: Brand School run by the Digital Marketing Institute (DMI). I am currently studying towards a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) Degree in Marketing Management at the recognised IMM Graduate School of Marketing (IMM GSM).
