I have been corporate South Africa for just over 15 years. My career began as a Receptionist and then Sales Advisor at the South African Breweries Ltd (SAB). I then moved to Shell South Africa - Quantum Oil Division now Shell Agriculture to work as a Sales Advisor Inland and Coastal. From Shell SA joined City of Johannesburg as Executive to PA to then Member of Mayoral Committee for Finance and Economic Development now Mayor of City of Johannesburg, Councilor Parks Tau. I then later moved to Alexandra Renewal Project (ARP) where I worked as a Project Administrator. At ARP I gained a lot of experience on working with local and International researchers who were researching Urban Renewal and Planning. From ARP Thembi joined Trans Caledon Tunnel Authority (TCTA) as an Executive PA to HOD: Project Finance and Treasury and has been doing this job for the past 11 years. Throughout the years I have attended a number courses to keep abreast with the latest thinking and have gained valuable experience in topics and subjects such as Project Administration, Project Planning, Event Management and Stakeholder Engagement. This has assisted me to acquired skills required in order to communicate at high and strategic levels. As Executive PA I have been able to travel to various parts of the world including Hong Kong, Beijing, Japan, Lesotho and other local destinations. I have been able to work with most of the local commercial banks as well as local and international Developmental Finance Institutions (DFIs) which has helped me to understand working with high level managers and all different cultures from diverse backgrounds.
