Dear Family, I have studied at Potchefstroom University; I did a four year teaching diploma. My major subjects were Human Movement Science, Psychology and a native language, Tswana. I can speak English very well, Afrikaans is my mother tongue and growing up in Namibia lends itself to have learnt a bit of German. I am a retired teacher, not ready for retirement . I have been teaching for 25 years at my last teaching job where I took care of children ranging between the ages of 3-16. I taught them Afrikaans and was also the physical training teacher. Therefor I taught them to swim, play tennis, netball as well as soccer. I have two children of my own, my son Berto, is 28 years old and he is a lawyer. My daughter, Natania is 31 years old and is also a teacher. Both of them are provincial sports achievers, my son played Judo as well as Duathlon for South Africa. I am busy going through a divorce I have played competitive hockey up to the age of 52. I am still cycling, about 30km every second day. I also enjoy walking. I am passionate about children and always give them the best of my time and energy. I am also willing to help with the household chores to make life easy for the host family. I take care of my body and also don’t eat any carbohydrates or sugar. I am willing to start working when the parents are leaving for work in the morning until they return after work.
