I have an entrepreneurial mindset and am excellent at seeing the operational as well as the strategic vision of a project and working on both levels. The various sectors that I have gained working experience in, include: NGOs/NPOs (Non-Government Organisations /Non Profit Organisations), SMME (Small Medium and Micro Enterprises), BBBEE (Broad Based Black Economic Empowerment), Retail, Banking, Medical, Corporate and Parastatal. I have been self-employed for the last 14 years as a specialist recruiter, head hunter and career coach. My experience before this was the ED (Executive Director) of an NGO in the SMME sector, promoting local economic development, public and private partnerships and a host of other meaningful initiatives. Here, I interacted with C-suit Corporate Clients, local and national government officials as well as African and International Funders/Donors. Preceding the role of ED, I fulfilled a position as a Private Sector Liaison. I focused on building relationships with Corporate Clients for Public Private Partnerships, Business Linkages, support with their BBBEE strategies as well as Fund Raising for the NGO. Prior to these more senior roles, I was a member liaison for BEE businesses where I visited members and assisted them with consulting services, business linkages, training and development opportunities as well as various other support services. During my tenure in the NGO sector, I also served on various boards in a non-executive capacity. Before entering this arena, I had been an entrepreneur offering event management and prior to that I worked as a personal assistant, secretary, banking clerk, receptionist and sales assistant.
