My Talent Profile Dear Sir/Madam My name is Dimakatso Manamela and I am looking for an internship, or any kind of volunteering work within the supply chain and logistics. I am a potential graduate of the University of Johannesburg (UJ), who studied a diploma in logistics. My unique mix of knowledge as a University of Johannesburg logistics post-graduate student makes me a suitable candidate for an internship. At the university I had the opportunity to build real knowledge in procurement, distribution, management and production planning and control, not just only on campus or through academic reading but also in the surrounding community through research and community engagements project. As it may be the objective of any organization to strive to continuously provide the consumer with best product quality, consistency, diversity and unique value, I do love a chance to work amongst people who share my passion of continuous improvement environment. As a student I already had success carrying out a research project on how a certain fast food company can implement total quality management to stay ahead of its competitors. I developed a purchasing and supplier evaluation criteria model for the company. This resulted in 13% cost savings for acquiring their meat products, as well as earning a contract with the world’s number one beverage distributor, Coca-Cola. So, combination of my intellectual skills, academic knowledge, creativity and motivation to excel can help me thrive as a member of your organization. I always had the passion to learn. In addition to this diploma, I also have a short- course certificate in radio broadcasting which I did back in my turbulent times in 2014, at Intec College through distance learning.
