Hi, I am Karen and I have been working in Marketing and Graphic Design for the past 5 years. I have a Bachelor’s of Information Science degree in Publishing. Within this degree I have had Marketing, Business Studies, Visual Culture Studies, Information Science and Graphic Designing. I have experience and work really well with Adobe products like Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver and LightRoom. I have online experience in Wordpress and can send out HTML mailers using Dreamweaver and Photoshop. I also have experience in Google Analytics, Google Ads and Facebook Ads. In my first 2 years I worked for a medical company, UDoTest. At UDoTest I was the head of marketing and did everything from Graphic Design to Google Analytics, Facebook Ads, Point of Sale and liaising with Sales staff to help them with merchandise and sales. I was also head of Social Media where I planned, designed and managed our Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn page. I grew the most within this company as it was a start-up company with a fast-paced work environment. I learnt a lot of leadership skills and how to work and grow within your team. I am currently working as a Graphic Designer and Marketing Assistant for Smartcall. Some of my responsibilities include liaising with Regional Managers regarding Point of Sale and incentives, designing online and print media, web page management using Wordpress and managing an online Mobile Phone store. This job has pushed me out of comfort zone and because of that I have become and grown into a more assertive leader, even with people older than me. I am a good asset to a company because I am a hard worker, a good team player and a leader when needed. I enjoy delivering good work and making deadlines. I strive to always give nothing but the best and finding ways to get the task done as quick and efficient as possible.
