Lusanda Nobanda is a 25-year-old male student, currently enrolled at the North-West University, Mafikeng Campus. He obtained his degree in Local Government Development/Management and is currently pursuing his honours degree in International Relations. He claims that he has the desire to have an academic idea of the universal form and operational basis of governance. Inclusive to this, Lusanda is a young man dedicated to developing himself, his family and society where he can. His ideology is that he will continue to work on bettering himself and attaining new knowledge. It can be dually noted that Lusanda has the desire to see a positive change and a form of development occur in society. As a result, he was the chairperson of the Faculty of Economics Management Sciences student chapter, in the aim to aid students with the administrative, operational, and academic issues that arise and they are confronted with. He also joined to work with an NPO called Inkamvha Youth Programme, this NPO sought out to do tutoring sessions with Grade 11 to 12 learners at Denville Secondary School, Mafikeng. Prior to this, he was doing a job shadowing at the North West Premiers Office, in the Department of International Relations and Cooperation Furthermore, Lusanda took two gap years in 2014 and 2015 to realise what he seeks to achieve and do in his life. He then decided to teach English during his gap year and went to India to do so. He was teaching English literature to Grade 9 to 12. During his gap year, He worked of an organisation known as The Dais, and became the President of The Dais Africa upon his return to South Africa and served from 2014-2017. As such, Lusanda was able to focus on English teaching as he had done well in both English and Setswana and Geography when he completed his matric at TigerKloof in 2013.
