I have spent 12 years in the M&A and Corporate Finance Advisory space, working in transaction and capital raising as well as being an internal, "buy-side" M&A executive. Very involved in the initiation and sourcing of transaction mandates across industries, which would support business development roles in a broader range of companies and industries. Prior to M&A and corporate finance I spent 5 years as a management consultant focussing on strategy implementation and strategic / operational improvement projects including organisational re-design and cost rationalisation. I can manage the work of a number of smaller teams across multiple unrelated projects. My focus tends to be on the near-term deliverables of work packages and streams but within a larger strategic project or transaction. I am able to manage a transaction from "cradle to grave" working with key legal resources and other advisors. I am also able to support strategy development and implementation at a board level, as well as post merger/acquisition integration at an operational or divisional level. I have worked globally and also have spent a lot of time working across Sub-Saharan African markets. I have experience in manufacturing, industrial, mining, agro-processing, distribution and the financial services sectors as well as fin-tech and other early stage businesses. Looking for business development and strategic management opportunities in funded start-ups or mid-senior roles in acquisitive corporates looking to expand regionally or into Africa, that require transaction management and post-merger integration as part of a broader strategic initiative.
