My broad experience in both Private Label buying, Category Management and Clothing Design has allowed me to launch a clothing-line for Baby-Wear which is listed in well established retailers such as Zando, Spree and Kids Emporium. I have gained experience in Fashion Retail Buying, Category Management , Space planning, People Management, Business Strategy formulation, Contract Management, Negotiations, product costings, Forex management, Range Building and Business Analysis, Fabrics, Sourcing and Supplier Management and rebates management. I have a very strong background in imports and sourcing private label products and working with both local and international suppliers as well as international brands range selection. I feel that I am suitable for this role as I have a great deal of experience in Baby-wear amongst different types of products through different retailers. Some of my experience branches from clothing designing , product costing, shelf life management, Food Safety legislations, quality management, product , vendor sourcing, private label product development, working with both local and overseas suppliers. I have a great understanding of your brand and what you stand for and I have an understanding of consumer behavior and where you need to bridge the gaps in the trade/ market place. I have worked with different brands and lifestyles which allowed and taught me to negotiate harder and seal good deals for any type of business. My recent big project has been the successful product development and the launch of the Tiny Tots Diaper (one of its kind in SA),Tiny Tots Baby Food and Tiny Tots Toiletries. I consider myself to be a friendly, creative, resourceful, efficient, go getter, enthusiastic worker, goal driven, over achiever and will blend in nicely with your team and ensure that your business is grown to the next level and that you gain market share. I believe I would be the ideal candidate based on the fact that I fully understand the buying process and I have successfully achieved so many complex projects such as new product development, innovation, supplier consolidation and margin saving exercise, built a solid range of products for Tiny Tots at PnP and have built a private label range of beauty products at Clicks and built a meaningful range of denim and Core T-Shirts for Redbat and Fusion, all in great quality and suited for different price points. My flair for fashion , great taste levels as well as my ability to interpret international trends to suit our local consumer needs has been proven in my achievements as a buyer.
