I am currently completing an MSc in organic chemistry at the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN) and will be done before June 2020, however I am available to start a new job immediately. I am currently employed as a transport co-ordinator during the weekends at Airport Bus Transport. At the moment I am looking to gain knowledge and experience in my field of study through internships, learnerships and graduate programmes, however, I will be thrilled if I were offered a temporary or permanent position at this company. As an organic chemistry major, I have the synthetic, organization and communication skills you are seeking. I would consider myself a person who is capable of adapting and growing in most situations. I have learned the value of persistence and the ability to work under pressure. I work easily within a team and can follow instructions. I am honest, attentive and welcome constructive criticism so that I can continuously improve. I am familiar with laboratory housekeeping, ordering of chemicals and proficient in the use and data interpretation of various laboratory instruments such as NMR, FT-IR, UV and many others, and I am also familiar with testing of compounds for their antimicrobial properties. Whilst studying I have also balanced two part-time jobs. These have taught me key, valuable responsibilities such as diligence in the execution of all duties, act within the standards and rules set out by the company and even at times to effectively oversee certain procedures carried out by co-workers. I would be an asset to any company that employs me because I am willing to work hard, enthusiastic about absorbing knowledge and believes that nothing is achieved without hard work.
