I used to work on trains for nearly 17 years, including just under 12 years driving trains, but I didn't respond well to the one reality that existed in the operational tunnel...rail fatalities. Walking away from trains, forced me to sort of dig out old, hidden(or not) talent. In school I used to help my class mates with their creative writing assignments, including essays and business and friendship letters. Later, during the two years I studied Civil Engineering, I discovered that my niche was computer aided draughting, which enabled me to help fellow students to come up with very creative designs for house plans, etc. Moving along, after qualifying as a train driver in 2006, I did Associate in Management at UCT's Graduate School of Business in 2008 and rediscovered my writing talent and also realized that I would have been great fit if I did business economics instead of pure science, because I projected a keen business acumen. Couple that with extensive experience I gained as being part of many community development initiatives and displaying dedication in various aspects of general organization, including report writing, which I already did as a 14 year old Boy Scout. Writing reports while in the service of PRASA Metrorail, I realized that I was always geared towards creating accurately recorded reports on the various incidents I was involved in over the many years of my association with the railway. In addition to writing my own reports, I was asked by colleagues and even managers to write reports for them or even sms's or emails, because they realized that I was quite articulate. Since being away from the railway, I have been involved in many writing campaigns for my cousin's company on his request...I used to do most of his reports when he was my patrol leader back in our Boyscout days
