My research skills span over a range of projects in qualitative and quantitative methodologies, in rural and urban areas and I am confident in all domains where social research is conducted. I have experience in Engineering, Health, Education, and government domains. I also have a strong stakeholder engagement ability. I have experience working with Mott Macdonald as a Research Technical Advisor to the previous Director General at the National Department of Health. My duties, as elaborated in my attached CV included critical appraisal and editing of the HRH Strategy, writing up the Minister’s Task Team’s reports on District Clinical Specialists Team, review and follow up on submissions to the Director General and represent the Director General’s office in the Security services and Nursing Presidential teams. I have excellent experience in designing, implementing, piloting and managing research projects in both academic and policy settings. An example of a project where I was involved in designing, implementing and managing a project, is a longitudinal project that was based in rural Agincourt (Limpopo Province), were we designed up to three data collection methods and therefore questionnaires, to collect both qualitative and quantitative household data. My duties in this project included appointing and supervising up to 12 fieldworkers from the community, conducting daily quality control of data collected and writing weekly and monthly reports. Recently, I managed national projects which involved applications selection. This meant searching for domains and clients to pilot technologies. I managed to build rapport with the National Department of Education, Provincial Departments of Health, National Department of Social Development, Blind SA, South African Library for the Blind and the Statistics South Africa. My duties included designing a questionnaire, collecting and analysing data, and presenting the results to the funder and at conferences. Since the beginning of the international pandemic, COVID-19, I joined a group of professionals, in a collective called OPA! Under Indlovukazi Consulting. The group volunteered, working with the South African Graduate Development Association in Mopani District, Limpopo. My role included identifying suppliers for PPE, identifying food suppliers, advising on training volunteers and campaign information via local channels such radio, flyers and local organisations. I look forward to responding to additional questions during the interview.
