When I was a Human Resource Manager and later a Human Resource Business Partner, due to the company retrenching (operational requirements), I managed the company’s overall Human Resource Department’s Administration, Recruitment, Industrial Relations and Payroll (Psiber Payroll and Sage VIP) functions. On top of such duties, I was responsible for planning, implementing and submitting the company’s Employment Equity, Skills Development (Training) and BBBEE initiatives. My time spent at the CCMA as a Human Resource and Industrial Relations Consultant not only equips me with experience in conducting disciplinary hearings, trade union engagements, employer representation at Bargaining Councils, but it also has made me well acquainted with Labour Lawyers and Consultants who share legal background and advice for an added advantage when encountering tricky cases.
