"Capitec will continue to lose great employees"

Capitec was a great company to work for. Growth opportunities were great. The working environment was great. Over the years everything changed as management changed. The company almost loses people every week, some for less salaries, some to sit at home, some are fired for petty things and some to further their studies. Opportunities for growth were great before, however there is no longer consistency in the company, certain management promote based on who you are. Some staff members are treated well because they are spies. If you voice your opinions or how you feel, you are the next target for dismissals or bad treatment. Head office that should be supporting their staff, support this form of treatment. You write a complaint and it gets swept under the carpet and you know you are marked for a dismissal. You go for an investigation, you are not allowed to bring an external representative, making your chances of winning your case very slim. Quarterly increases given, based on whether you are liked or not and not your performance. Working hours are horrible sometimes on a Saturday we work seven hours due to staffing issues. KZN needs to wake up because they are affecting their entire companies reputation.

Working for capitec is very hectic as the hours are very long and u work 6 days a week if u working for the call centre not family orientated at all,no benefits etc

Capitec Bank is the best company i have ever worked for, with loads of opportunities for growth. It invests in training and development of staff and allow everyone the opportunities to grow.

salaries market related, not a good experience overall due to an abundance of office politics. The hours are very unpleasant due to a pressurised retail environment that can get really hectic, it's often not possible to take breaks. Company not very family oriented, working moms find it very challenging to obtain a work/life balance. I would not work in Operations (in the branch) again, I would however, work at their head office or in another department, as the company offers growth.
