"Sub-contractors are happy"

Deloitte is by far the best consulting company to work for. The governing system on which the company operates is very structured. The company pays special attention to ethical values. Even those who work on sub-contract is impressed by Deloitte...and we all know that it is not that easy to satisfy sub-contractors. I honestly love working at Deloitte.

I worked the head office for a short contractual period. It was quite nice, I preferred the environment as it was one where you get your work done without being disturbed unnecessarily. People working there are nice and work orientated. Would definitely go back should I be offered the opportunity.

good and professional company. good work ethic. i am not employed by deloitte, but am a subcontractor to one of their projects, so i can't comment on the Ratings section.

Deloitte Consulting is THE best consulting firm in the World. Very supportive Partners, assists newly appointed Professionals and entry level employees with appropriate induction programmes. They ensure that client's needs are met to client's requirements, and unlike other 'big four' Consulting firms that I have worked for, works as a TEAM to ensure that clients's requirements are met and solutions not only developed, but also IMPLEMENTED. I do hold an MBA degree, but studied under graduate in the Behaviour Sciences, and when I struggled with the basics of accounting, Bertie Loots, Senior Partner at Deloitte Consulting approached me after the client complained about my incompetence in Accounting, and assigned a CA (SA) to assist me to ensure the client's satisfaction.

The environment at Deloitte is pleasant, the staff is friendly and we were included in what's happening around the firm in SA and Africa firms. The flexible hours made work-life balance easy. Overall, a lovely place to work.

Dealing with difficult clients on a daily basis is one of the downsides of working at Deloitte. However, the relationships you build are priceless and I always strive to provide excellent customer service. Through Deloitte, I have learned to control emotions, become much organised in the way I conduct myself not only at work, but outside the office too.

"No room to grow"

Although the company is one of the so-called ‘Big Four’, I find it rather worrying that the company gives the employees access to all sorts of workshops, but they don’t escalate in terms of positions. The workshops are a great benefit but meaningless if you can’t put what you've learned to use. There is no growth opportunity in the company and you are required to work long hours. There is no time for a social life.

I love working at Deloitte. It is one of those companies where you do not dread waking up in the morning and going to work. The working environment is very professional and Management is very professional in the way they conduct business operations. Working overtime is a norm, but I don’t mind because I love the job. The only thing about my job that I do not like is that you do the same thing every day.

What I did not like about working at Deliotte was that Management was talking behind employees’ backs. There’s a difference between discussing work related issues about employees and discussing personal issues about employees. It was clear that favouritism was active in the workplace. Our manager would take unauthorised days off and he wouldn’t source any work. He also pushed down his responsibility to ADs. The working environment was completely and utterly bereft from honesty.
