Law was co-founded by Trevor Coppen and Brett Ferguson in 1990. The Law Holdings group are a subsidiary of the Law group and was founded in 2000. The company was formed to provide clients with administrative, legal and marketing service excellence. To date, Law Holdings Group provides a comprehensive range of information technology solutions to the South African banking, attorney and government sectors and provides a secure data switching platform in Namibia. The Group is differentiated into sectors which include: Law Property; servicing the property transfer industry, Law Credit; providing business solutions to the credit industry, Law Compliance; providing an electronic compliance solution to banks and attorneys, Law Data providing public and credit bureau information to registered users and Law trust who are experts in information security integration. The company has branches in Johannesburg, Centurion, Cape Town, Durban, and Port Elizabeth, Bloemfontein and Nelspruit as well as an office in Namibia.
