I served my apprenticeship at Masonite and qualified in 1994, the training I received was second to none. I was kept on as an artisan for 2 year's but left to gain experience in different fields. I don't know what Masonite is like today, but in my time there some appointments there were strange.I recall motorcar mechanics being employed as mechanical fitters and getting promotions ahead of fitters who had been in the plant a long time.In summing up my stay there I was greatful for the opportunity given to me, but I didn't enjoy my overall stay there.Having worked in many companies and different industries I wouldn't go back to Masonite
