Pioneer Foods, operating across the country, provides the nation with affordable foods of a consistently high safety and nutritional quality. They are supported by a large, innovative and stable workforce. The Group has four main divisions: 1. Sasko- manufactures wheat and maize products; trading in rice, beans, lentils and dried vegetables. They also have large bakery operations. 2. Bokomo Foods- produces cereals, rusks, biscuits, cake mixes, baking aids, instant mash potato, dried fruit products, nuts, spreads, dehydrated vegetables and processed salads. 3. Quantum Foods- produces poultry and animal feeds, chickens, eggs, processed egg and processed chicken-based products. 4. The Ceres Beverages Company- produces fruit juices, carbonated soft drinks and fruit concentrate mixtures. Pioneer Foods also has a substantial stake in Heinz Foods SA. Bowman Ingredients South Africa is a joint venture to supply food ingredients to South Africa’s large food producers.

In my experience, working for Bokomo Foods - they are an excellent Company to work for. The people are great and you get a sense of being part of a family. This type of environment is felt not only at HO, but plant level too. I really enjoyed working for Bokomo.

I work in a professional, yet emotionally relaxed environment, with plenty of room for creativity. We are result driven, if as long as you achieve your goals, you can have as many laughs as you want. Our top management still seem very old-school, but things are definitely changing. I recommend working for Pioneer Foods, it is a good place to be and a great place to grow as well. Working for Pioneer Foods is a good career choice.
