We are looking to hire an Academic Manager to oversee our academic team of tutors and lecturers for our distance learning college.
You will report directly to the CEO, and work closely with different managers from each department. If you have a passion for planning, excellent management skills, and love finding creative solutions to problems - then you might just be who we are looking for.

Our ideal candidate has:
At least 3 years experience in managing and leading an academic team, with the highest level of organisational skills, and the ability to build a focused and driven team out of diverse people with diverse skills and levels of qualifications.

The ability to implement the company vision of creating education products and services we are proud of.

The ability to work deeply within the company values, and be part of a team that does the same.

The ability to understand the strategic objectives of the company and bring the planning for your department in line with achieving the goals of the company.

To ensure that the work of the department is completed on a daily basis, to the highest standard, and always within turnaround times.

Excellent at perfecting, documenting and communicating the policies, processes and procedures of the academic team, with the purpose of offering excellent academic services and support that get our students qualified.

The ability to Instill professionalism in the team, where every engagement with every student is courteous, professional and helpful.The highest standard of work is required in everything that we do!

The drive to continually improve the team and the department, constantly searching out short and long term projects to ensure our continuous growth and development.

The ability and will to work with planning and automation in order to ensure that we are building a business that can scale with growth. This means paying attention that we do not grow the costs of the team at the same rate as we grow the student numbers.

The ability to create reporting, systems and procedures to ensure consistent implementation of work processes and proper feedback. A strong drive to manage data, and not feelings.

An ease with authority, in both allocating work in the department, as well as being able to exercise discipline where needed.

The ability to work independently, using good judgement to make effective decisions as a leader while at the same time keeping your manager informed so that they understand what is happening in your department
