At a summary level the successful candidate will be responsible for:
? Providing a learning facilitation and support function to students enrolled on various online Short Learning Programmes within Tourism Management and related disciplines.
? In collaboration with the Manager (SLP) and/or Lead Tutor, the incumbent executes the teaching and learning plan for allocated courses or module(s).
? Facilitating learning activities prescribed for the modules using the student learning platform.
? Continuous engaging with students, responding to and resolving academic and course related student queries.
? Keep accurate record of all such student interactions.
? Enabling a successful student experience.
Essential Work Experience:
? Minimum of 1-year experience in student tutoring or coaching in the field of Tourism Management at a recognised educational institution.
? A track record of effective business communication with internal and external customers, servicing customer needs and effective resolution of issues and queries.
? Working experience with Learning Management Systems (such as Moodle).
? Demonstrable skills using Internet-based technologies e. g social media, educational technologies, as well as experience with Microsoft Office products or equivalent.

Beneficial work experience:
? Previous experience in online academic tutoring (e-Tutoring) or lecturing
? Previous private sector experience in Tourism management
? Working knowledge of online education and the use of technology to support learning processes.
? Experience in developing academic content, facilitating student learning (online lecturing) and assessments, and providing academic guidance and support.
? Experience in using a digital authoring tool (such as Articulate)
? Previous experience in student community engagement.
Education & Qualification:
? Minimum 3-tear degree with majors in the Tourism field or any other cognate discipline.
? An Honours degree or a pots graduate teaching qualification will be advantageous
